Steamed Pork Rib and Pumpkin

Serves: 2
  • half pound pork short ribs
  • 2 cups pumpkin (cut into 1-inch sized cubes)
  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped
  • For marinating the pork ribs:
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon potato starch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  1. In a big plate, marinate the pork ribs with the mixture of oyster sauce, soy sauce, potato starch, salt and sugar for about 10 minutes.
  2. Place the pumpkin cubes around the pork ribs.
  3. Steam for 20 minutes with lid on over medium heat.
  4. Carefully remove the plate from the steamer and drain excessive water from the plate. (Pumpkin will release a lot of water after being steamed)
  5. Sprinkle on top fresh chopped green onion and serve.
