This sesame spinach is my favorite vegetarian recipe! It is a perfect combination of taste and providing health benefit. It is also one of the easiest things to make. I can’t wait to show you how to make it.
Freshness of the spinach is no doubt a key to the success of this dish. I picked out this fresh and nice looking spinach yesterday at the grocery store and the idea of making this dish came into my mind right away.
You might wonder why I blanched the spinach instead of eating it raw. This is a great question! The truth is I haven’t really thought about that before, except this is how my mother likes to make this dish. Feel free to make this dish into a salad if you like to 🙂
The secret weapon for this dish is the sesame sauce that’s made of sesame paste, sesame oil, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, water and toasted sesame seeds. Check out the recipe below for how to make this yummy sauce.
Below is how I made this dish step-by-step. The total time needed is less than 15 minutes.
I hope you enjoy making this healthy and delicious sesame spinach at home. If you like this recipe, please leave a rating and share it with your friends!

Made this tonight. It was easy and delicious!
Thank you! I am really glad you liked it, have a great day!
hi can this recipe be served at room temperature/coldor should it just be served warm?
Hi Claire,
It could be served either room temp/warm. I personally like to enjoy it after the spinach has cooled down and absorbed the flavor.
